Meet The TruthSpeakers

Alexander K. Robinson

I am Alexander Robinson and I am currently enrolled in the Master's program of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Michigan.  I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from Jackson State University.  I am originally from Benton Harbor, Michigan, a city that has gained infamy for being the epitome of an African American ghetto where poverty persists, the education system is poor, and the governance of the city is unorganized.

I feel that the main cause of strife of disconnect that we face in today's society is the result of poor communication and relationships between different groups of people.  With that said, it is understandable why I decided to work with Ernest Camel to form the TruthSpeakers.  It is our goal to shine light on contentious issues by using new technology and media, as well as providing a forum where everyone has the opportunity to voice their opinions, adding to the public discussions.

My long-term goal is to help in the development of new age 21st century communities that do not allow morbid inequalities and where the sense of community is what makes the community strong.  My work with the TruthSpeakers allows me to get an understanding of how vastly similar the people of the world today are, despite our differences.

Ernest F. Camel, III

I am Ernest F. Camel, III and I currently work as a media production coordinator for Jackson State University.  i obtained my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Murray State University and my Master's of Mass Communications from Jackson State University.  I am a man who was raised by a Military father and a mother who was an educator.  I was born in Augusta, Georgia and raised in Wurzburg, Germany and the great state of Kentucky.

I currently reside in Jackson, Mississippi and have strong family ties to New Orleans, Louisiana.  When Hurricane Katrina devastated the City of New Orleans and I watched my family struggle it awakened a sense of awareness in me to seek the truth in everyday life.

I feel that the only way to solve the problems that our great nation faces is to create a dialogue amongst the people not only in the US but on a global scale in the spirit of seeking truth and speaking power to it.  i have realized that we all have our own truth and that when we allow ourselves to speak that truth we enlighten those around us.  it is my mission along with my partner Alexander Robinson to shine light on societal issues by using new technology and media, as well as providing a forum where everyone has the opportunity to voice their opinions, adding to the public discussions so that we may one day build a world where understanding is possible among all people.

Richard O. Rowland, Jr.

I am Richard O. Rowland, Jr. and I currently work as a business professional for United Parcel Services in the engineering department. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Physics from Murray State University. I have aspirations of going back to school at the JB School of Engineering at the University of Louisville and completing my 2nd B. S. degree in Electric and Computer Engineering as well as receive my master’s in the same Discipline. I am a native of the small town of Mayfield, KY.
I currently live in the great city of Louisville, KY. Moving from the rural area of Kentucky known as the Jackson Purchase to the city opened my eyes to the fact my opportunities were limitless. The fact of the matter is the truth will set you free. What you perceive is your reality. I feel that the main cause for a great people like mine to be downtrodden is because we believe we aren’t supposed to make it out. With this said, it was a good fit for me to join the likes of Ernest Camel and Alexander Robinson on their quest to be Truth Speakers. It is my goal to live in a world that runs on knowledge not assumptions.
I feel as though the only means we have of finding the truth is to research and seek the truth amongst all the people not only on the US soil but also across the Globe. My long-term goal is to uplift the men and women of the Diaspora as the generations before us have leaving a better place for my children, my childrens' children, and beyond.
